Hi Everyone, thank you for choosing Onyx Rose Photography! My name is Karlene, and I am a family, lifestyle and engagement photographer based out of Brantford, Ontario. My husband and I just relocated here from Cambridge, ON, and are settling in with our two cats Alphaghetti and Humphrey!

For as long as I can remember, I've loved being in nature and sharing in its beauty. Photography has allowed me to express my creative side, and capture the intimate moments of those who I cherish most in this world, and more recently, for so many others. Seeing the laughter and love between families and friends is truly what inspired me to put myself out there - and I am absolutely loving every minute of it! Let me help capture your story - the laughter, quirkiness, and every emotion in between.

Couples photography has always been so fun for me. I get to see the foundation that leads to the rest of these individuals lives. Sharing in their laughter and happiness is truly what got me into photography!

Seeing the love that people share and their original promise to each other as they start their lives together. Capturing this love and immortalizing these first months as an engaged pair.

Family


This time with your kids and loved ones is so important. Being able to capture these memories for families, freezing laughter and love in the galleries I create.

Mini Sessions

Mini sessions are a quick and fun way to get even the most stubborn friends and family to get photos done! I offer these sessions a couple times a year between Cambridge and Hamilton Ontario.


FAQ

Do you send unedited images?

The short answer here is no. I believe that photography is an entire experience; from finding the right photographer for you, to the session, to the final delivery of your galleries. The editing is simply part of the experience.

How should we dress for our family session?

I always like to point individuals toward colours that they already know and love on themselves. To make a cohesive look; feel free to contact me for ideas!

Are you willing to travel outside of Brantford?

Absolutely! I love exploring new areas and getting out of my comfort zone.

Are you flexible with your pricing?

The packages I offer are a general guideline. I am more than happy to work with you and set up a contract that best fits your needs before going ahead with the photoshoot.

When can I expect my gallery to be released?

My goal is to have all images uploaded to your online gallery within three weeks. With that being said, I will have samples sent to you within the first three days of the session so you can have a fun sneak peak!
